Boarding Dogs

picture1pic2pic3

Monrovia Animal Medical Center offers dog boarding as a courtesy to our regular patients and clients. Visit our pristine boarding facility any time during regular business hours; ask to see it! We require a physical exam annually by a veterinarian from this hospital.

If you are a first-time client to our hospital, your dog will receive $30 off the first wellness exam by the doctor, and 1-day FREE boarding within the first 90 days of your first visit. The doctor is on the premises every day and supervises the well-being of your dog.

Vaccination Requirements

The following vaccines must have been administered within the last twelve months or 36 months depending on age of dog: DHPP, 4- way Leptospirosis, Bordetella, Canine Influenza H3N2&H3N8, and Rabies. Always required annually are Leptospirosis, Bordetella & Influenza. If your dog does not receive his/her vaccinations at this facility, you must show written documentation that verifies current vaccinations. A puppy record book is not sufficient documentation. If any vaccines are past due, your dog must be vaccinated before boarding for his/her protection.

Diet & Parasite Free Environment

Monrovia Animal Medical Center strives to be a flea-free hospital. All dogs will receive a complimentary Capstar tablet when they arrive. This is to ensure that they have no fleas while boarding at our hospital. When you board your dog with Monrovia Animal Medical Center, we will serve a high quality dry food to your dogs during their stay. We will be pleased to feed a special diet of your choice, if you bring it with you.

Activities While Boarding

Your dog can exercise and play in our outside green area as shown above 3-4 times daily. This is included in the boarding fee.

What To Bring

Please bring the appropriate amount of medications your dog will need while boarding with us and provide directions on how to administer your dog's medication. Fees for medications that need to be filled or refilled during the time your dog is boarded will be added to your bill. In the event your dog becomes ill, you will be asked to authorize a form allowing us to initiate appropriate treatment until you can be reached. You are welcome to bring your dog’s bed and/or toys if he/she has them; however, we provide plenty fresh towels daily. Boarding patrons are required to sign a Medical Care Plan at time of drop off. Payment in full is due at the time of pick up.
